For the 20th edition of the Amazon Raids, which will take place in March 2022, Altore is supporting the Sogni di Femine trail runner team which represents the association of Colossi with Feet of Clay. We take stock of this essential sporting event in the world of trail running.

The Amazon Raid: what is it?

The Amazon Raid is the only 100% female raid. For 6 days, 300 athletes challenge each other, in teams of 2 or 3, in various sporting events:

  • the archery
  • the trail
  • Mountain biking
  • the canoe
  • run and bike
  • orienteering

In addition to being a unique sporting experience for athletes, the Amazon Raid is also a human and supportive adventure, since each guest supports a local action focused on children's education. The events are also an opportunity for the competitors to discover the culture and traditions of the host country, since every afternoon there are immersion and sharing activities with the local population. This year, the Raid Amazone events will take place in Sri Lanka from March 13.

But what is the connection between Altore and this sporting event? This year, our brand will support the Sogni di Femine team during the Raid Amazone 2022. This is the only team representing Corsica, made up of three women sharing the same dream: that of surpassing themselves to participate in these events. . Céline, Estelle and Laurence are therefore taking on the challenge for the Colossus with Feet of Clay association, whose mission is to raise awareness of the risks of sexual violence, hazing and harassment of children in sports.

During the trail in which it will participate, the Sogni di Femine team will wear clothing from the Altore brand, styled especially for the Amazon Raid. Don't miss their progress on social networks, as well as on other paper and virtual media sources, including Corse Matin, and Virgin Radio, the official partner of the event.
